Effective November 4, 2026. StayPermits is a small information service for short-term rental property managers. This page says, in plain words, what we collect, why we collect it, and what we never do with it.
The portfolio checker runs entirely in your own browser. Your answers (city, number of homes, booking channels, permit status, who files your taxes) are used on the spot to build your due list. They are not sent to us, not stored on our servers, and not shared with anyone. If you close the tab, they are gone.
If you fill in the email form on the checker page, we receive the email address you enter, together with the city and portfolio size from your checker answers, so we can send the right list. That is the whole list of personal information this site collects. We do not ask for your name, your properties, your accounts, or any payment details, and we do not want them sent to us by email.
Nothing else. We do not sell, rent, or trade email addresses, and we do not share them with third parties for their marketing. We use an email delivery provider to send our messages and a hosting provider to serve this site; those providers process the address only to do that work.
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising trackers and no analytics scripts. The checker form stores a copy of your submission in your own browser's local storage on your own device, which you can clear at any time through your browser settings; it is not tracking and it never reaches us. The pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser asks Google for the font files, and Google can see your IP address in that request, as it can on most of the web. We do not use that for anything. Because we do not track visitors across sites, there is nothing for a browser "do not track" signal to switch off here; we treat every visit the same way.
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. One click and you will not hear from us again; we honour opt-outs promptly and always within 10 business days. You can also write to us at any time at [email protected] to see what we hold for your address, correct it, or have it deleted. We will do it and confirm by email.
We keep a subscriber address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until the service it relates to closes. When we delete, we delete; we do not keep shadow copies for marketing.
The mailing list is held with reputable providers, and access to it is limited and protected by passwords and, where the provider offers it, two-factor sign-in. No system is perfect, but the list holds email addresses and portfolio sizes only, never credentials, payment details, or property records.
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page, change the effective date above, and, for any material change, email subscribers before the change takes effect. We will never quietly widen the use of an address you gave us for a narrower promise.
